In his 2026 New Year address, President Xi Jinping stated that we must unswervingly implement the "One Country, Two Systems" policy, support Hong Kong in better integrating into the overall national development, and maintain long-term prosperity and stability.
The Hong Kong Coalition sincerely thanks President Xi for his profound care and support for Hong Kong. We will certainly put it into practice through concrete actions, actively unite and promote all sectors of Hong Kong society to better integrate into and serve the overall national development, living up to President Xi's support for Hong Kong in maintaining long-term prosperity and stability.
2026 is the inaugural year of the nation's "15th Five-Year Plan," and it is also a crucial year for Hong Kong to deeply participate in the construction of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, better integrate into and serve the overall national development, strive for economic growth, and improve people's livelihoods. To this end, the Hong Kong Coalition organized the forum "How Hong Kong Can Integrate into and Serve the Overall National Development" last month, gathering consensus and offering suggestions for the HKSAR Government to actively align with the nation's "15th Five-Year Plan" and better integrate into and serve the overall national development.
The Hong Kong Coalition firmly believes that, leveraging the unique advantages of "One Country, Two Systems" and "backing onto the motherland while connecting to the world," Hong Kong can proactively play a distinctive role in multiple fields, integrate into and serve the overall national development, assist the nation in achieving Chinese-style modernization, while enhancing its own social and economic development momentum, and steadily realizing the goal of transitioning from stability to prosperity!
